DISTANCE LEARNING (April 20-24)

Monday:

Math	Perimeter vs. Area Lesson- watch the YouTube video from Mrs. Helow on Schoology! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPKTI21KrDY&feature=youtu.be Do the pages alongside her with the video. Complete 13.2 pages 727-728 and upload to Schoology. (30 minutes)
Reading	Read the Poem: The Road Not Traveled. Also, listen along with the Youtube link given on schoology. Start reflecting on what you think the poem means. We are doing a poem study all this week on this poem. (20 minutes)
Vocab/Spelling	Spelling- Write down new list in your planner. List is on schoology (20 minutes)
Science	Physics Test! Link is on Schoology. Complete and turn in! (30 minutes)
English	Book pages 214-215: Review what possessive pronouns are. Go through the chart on page 214 to understand the different pronouns. (20 minutes)
Religion	Session 24 Reading- start this session just by reading pages 141-142. No turn in needed (15 minutes)

Tuesday:

Math	Login to Think Central- Do the “Area Practice- Animated Math Model”. Go through practicing finding the area of those shapes. This is not a turn in day, but I will be able to see if you went through this lesson! (30 minutes)
Reading	Answer the first reflection question on schoology about the poem “The Road Not Traveled” The question is written on our page, as well as the words to the poem. (20 minutes)
Vocab/Spelling	Write down 10 sentences using a spelling word in each. You may type right onto the assignment on schoology, or write it out and upload a picture (15 minutes)
Science	Electricity Lesson! BE SURE that you can pick up the booklet from San Jose from the outside bin. This will help on this ENTIRE unit. Watch Mrs. Helow’s Youtube video; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czuBeKnOCbQ
English	Possessive Pronouns assignment on Schoology. Complete the assignment using any notes or books you need. (20 minutes)
Religion	Continue Reading page 143 and complete the advertisement on that page. No turn in necessary (15 minutes)

Wednesday:

Math	Lesson 13.3- Area of Combined Rectangles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ls1TP1F-swo Watch the Youtube video with Mrs. Helow to complete this Lesson. Link is on Schoology. Complete pages 733-734 and upload these to Schoology.
Reading	Answer the second reflection question on schoology about the poem “The Road Not Traveled” The question is written on our page, as well as the words to the poem. (20 minutes)
Vocab/Spelling	VOCAB- unit 15 cards- write down the first 6 words on notecards with the definitions on the back. This is good practice for the test next week on unit 15 Pgs. 152-153 in vocab book (20 minutes)
Science	Lesson 79 Review on Schoology. Using your booklet and the Youtube video from yesterday, complete the review. (20 minutes)
English	Contractions with Pronouns- go over pages in text book 216-217 Make sure you are understanding what contractions are and where the apostrophe goes. Complete those questions. No turn in necessary, just good practice! (20 minutes)
Religion	Read pages 144-146. No turn in necessary (10 minutes)

Thursday:

Math	Login to Think Central. Complete the assignment: “Finding the Area of Combined Rectangles- Animated Math Models”. This is not a turn in day, but I can see if you’ve completed the assignment! (30 minutes)
Reading	Illustrate a picture of what you think the poem: The Road Not Taken looks like. If you had to illustrate the poem, what does it show? Upload your picture to schoology (30 minutes)
Vocab/Spelling	VOCAB- unit 15 cards- write down the last 6 words on notecards with the definitions on the back. This is good practice for the test next week on unit 15 Pgs. 152-153 in vocab book (20 minutes)

Friday:

Math	Log onto ThinkCentral and complete the mid chapter checkpoint! This can all be done on Think Central. You may use your book and any notes you have. Please complete without the help of family or friends. (45 minutes)
Reading	On Schoology, answer the 5 reflection questions about the poem. Use complete sentences (15 minutes)
Vocab/Spelling	SPELLING TEST- Have a parent or helper give you a spelling test with the list of contractions. Upload a picture on schoology under this assignment. Honor code here (20 minutes)
Science	Lesson 80 Review on schoology. With the help of your booklet, and also the help of the YouTube video from yesterday, complete the lesson review (20 minutes)
English	Pronouns and Homophones! Book pages 218-219 Go through these questions noticing the difference in the words. Next week we will continue with this (20 minutes)
Religion	Schoology Session 24 Review! Log into schoology and complete the questions! You can use your book and any notes! (30 minutes)
